Hello Everyone!! With October upon us fall is in the air, but here at Top Hat Dance Studio, the season isn’t the only thing that’s changing. Announcement of New Studio Partnership
We would like to officially introduce you to the new face of Top Hat Dance Studio. Our new ownership team has been busy planning an exciting future for Top Hat and we’re very excited of all of the new energy that this collaboration of people has generated. As of mid-September, ownership of Top Hat Dance Studio has been placed into the hands of friends and colleagues Daniel McGee, Jameson Kilburn, and Robert Finocchio. If you have any questions, comments, complaints, and/or celebrations concerning Top Hat please feel free to let the three of these guys know. Their number one focus is creating an environment that expands the enjoyment of dance…one step at a time!
Announcement of New Location 
We’re moving!! That’s right Top Hat Dance Studio will be moving into a new location by year’s end. The new space is located at 10771 Bustleton Ave. in the Bustleton Somerton Shopping Center. Construction has started toward bringing you a bigger and better Top Hat. With a much larger dance floor (more than double the current floor), a much larger parking lot, and multiple rooms for multiple classes to take place at the same time, Top Hat is going to be able to provide you a supreme dance space with an atmosphere to match. We’re anticipating a transition into the new space by January of 2007. Stay tuned for more information about the move and the soon coming Grand Opening Party! If anyone is interested in volunteering to help with the construction process, just contact the studio. Your input to the studio is always welcomed and appreciated.
Introduction of Our New Newsletter Service
As you can see we’ve updated our Newsletter Service. Many of you had said that you were no longer receiving our emails. As it turned out there was a glitch in the service and we’ve since rectified the issue and now have a much better way of keeping all of you up to date with all of what’s happening at Top Hat. If you know of anyone who did not receive this email that would like to, please forward this to them and have them contact the studio so that we can have their address added to the new list. If you would like to be removed from this list, please contact the studio as well. You can reach the studio at info@tophatdancestudio.com and we will be glad to help you with receiving our monthly Newsletters.
October Studio Schedule
Philadelphia:
Classes will run to schedule for the month of October and the Monthly Studio Party will be held on Saturday, October 21st. As always, there will be a group class at 8:00pm followed by a party at 9:00pm. Both the party and group class are free of charge and will include ballroom, latin, swing, hustle, etc. We hope to see you there!
Mondays:
8:30 pm - Intermediate Styling & Technique
Wednesdays:
7:30 pm - Basic Ballroom 1 (Waltz)
8:30 pm - Basic Ballroom 2 (Salsa)
Thursdays:
8:30 pm – Adult Ballet
Saturdays:
12:30 pm – Hustle 2
1:30 pm – Hustle 1
2:30 pm – Intro to Hustle
Lancaster:
There will be no classes on Wednesday, October 04th thru Friday, October 06th. Classes will resume on Wednesday, October 11th and classes will run to schedule the remainder of the month. The Monthly Studio Party will be held on Friday, October 27th. As always, there will be a group class at 8:00pm followed by a party at 9:00pm. Both the party and group class are free of charge and will include ballroom, latin, swing, hustle, etc. We hope to see you there!

Information about Upcoming Competitions
Puerto Rico Hustle & Salsa Festival
On November 3-5 Top Hat will be heading south to San Juan, Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Hustle & Salsa Festival. Hosted by Billy Fajardo & David Melendez, this event promises to be a weekend full of fun in the sun before winter kicks into high gear. With plenty of workshops, jack-n-jill competitions, and exhibitions throughout the weekend, we can’t wait to be a part of this great event and hope that you’ll join us in the fun. It’s not too late to register, we are accepting registration forms at the studio, or you can register online at www.i-h-d-a.com. See you there!
Big Easy Dance Classic
On November 30 – December 03 Top Hat will be off to the Big Easy, New Orleans, LA for the Big Easy Dance Classic. Hosted by Keith Gussoni and Katie Marlow this competition is sure to be an amazing time in one of America’s biggest party towns. With competitions, performances, parties, workshops, and a Saturday night dinner show, this weekend of dancing is going to be one that you don’t want to miss. We have begun taking registration forms for all of the Top Hat competitors and cheering section. If you would like to join the fun with us in New Orleans, stop by the studio for a registration form. See you on the dance floor!
