Hello Everyone!!  November is upon us…already!  Below you’ll find your monthly dose of Top Hat news and announcements.  Wow!  October was a month packed full of excitement and November looks like it’s going to follow in its footsteps.  In this month’s edition you find…

As announced in last month’s email, Top Hat is getting a new home!  Our new address is going to be 10771 Bustleton Ave, in the Bustleton Somerton area of NE Philadelphia.  So far the construction has been moving along and we can’t wait for you to see all of the wonderful work that is being done on the new Top Hat.  The studio is starting to take shape and it is definitely an exciting process.  Stay tuned for more info…

With November rolling onto the calendar, our Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner Party is just around the corner.  Every year we all get together for a pot luck style dinner to share a special evening with all of our Top Hat friends and family.  There will be a party in our New Holland and Philadelphia studios on Friday, November 17th & Saturday, November 18th respectively.  The dinner begins at 7:00pm with a dance party to immediately follow.  If you would like to join us, be sure to sign up at the studio and let us know how many people will be attending.  Also on the sign-in sheet be sure to let us know what dish you will be bringing to share with everyone as to avoid duplicates.  See you there!

Philadelphia:

Classes will run to schedule for the month of November and the Monthly Studio Party (our Thanksgiving Dinner Dance Party) will be held on Saturday, November 18^th.  Because we’re going to be having Thanksgiving Dinner together, there won’t be a group class at 8:00pm before the party this month.  We hope to see you there!

 

Basic Ballroom 1 & Basic Ballroom 2 will begin with new dances, Samba & Waltz, on Wednesday, November 15^th.

 

The Studio will be closed from Thursday, November 23 thru Sunday, November 26 for Thanksgiving weekend.  For all other class schedules and cancellations you can pick up a calendar at the studio or visit our website at .  www.tophatdancestudio.com

 

Lancaster:

Puerto Rico Hustle & Salsa Festival

On November 3-5 Top Hat will be heading south to San Juan, Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Hustle & Salsa Festival.  Hosted by Billy Fajardo & David Melendez, this event promises to be a weekend full of fun in the sun before winter kicks into high gear.  With plenty of workshops, jack-n-jill competitions, and exhibitions throughout the weekend, we can’t wait to be a part of this great event and hope that you’ll join us in the fun.  See you there!

 

Big Easy Dance Classic

On November 30 – December 03 Top Hat will be off to the Big Easy, New Orleans, LA for the Big Easy Dance Classic.  Hosted by Keith Gussoni and Katie Marlow this competition is sure to be an amazing time in one of America’s biggest party towns.  With competitions, performances, parties, workshops, and a Saturday night dinner show, this weekend of dancing is going to be one that you don’t want to miss.  We are still taking registration forms for all of the Top Hat competitors and cheering section.  If you would like to join the fun with us in New Orleans, stop by the studio for a registration form.  See you on the dance floor!
