Hello Everyone! As we enter the midst of summer, there's quite a lot that is sizzling at Top Hat. First we want to congratulate all of our tiny dancers who made this year's recital one of the best yet! The students all danced adorably and each of them is to be commended for their hard work all year long! Congrats! Also, a special thank you to Lindsey Meehan, Kristina Harple, Michele Moyer, and Nina Feldman for adding their wonderful performances to the afternoon's show. And of course, a huge thank you to Ginny Carey for her time and talent as she orchestrated this great Top Hat event. The entire recital was touching and inspiring and we are very excited to see what next year holds!
On another note, 6th annual Top Hat Croucher Pool Party was held on June 23rd. This year, as with every year, Bill and Sharon Croucher were the most amazing hosts and continued a tradition that has become a true highlight of our year. It's safe to say that everyone had an amazing time and the weather could not have been more beautiful. Thank you Bill and Sharon for giving of your time and your home to all of your friends and family at Top Hat. Here's to many more years to come…

Activities will include mini Dance Classes, Dance Games, Arts & Crafts, and a Dance Obstacle Course! All dancers ages 4 - 10 are welcome to attend. Space is limited for this FREE workshop, so call the studio to reserve a spot for your little dancer! The deadline for joining this program is July 16th.
Once again, Ray & Denise Fabrizio have graciously opened their home to host Top Hat's Philadelphia Pool Party. The festivities will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4th beginning at 1:00pm and will continue long into the evening. There will be an assortment of foods at the party and if you would like to contribute to the fun, Ray and Denise have requested that people bring their favorite picnic foods and/or a beverage of their choice. We are so extremely happy to announce the start of our new youth ballroom program! That's right - starting this fall, Top Hat will be offering Ballroom & Latin Classes for children! With the addition of this program Top Hat Dance Studio is proud to provide top notch instruction for all ages in many different styles of dance.
The program will consist of classes for kids from 8 to 17 years of age. In these classes the students will focus on International Standard and International Latin dancing as described in the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus. They will also be introduced to Hustle, Swing, Salsa and other dances from the American Style of dancing.
Not only will these classes provide an excellent education in the world of social partner dancing, but they will also provide an opportunity for each of the students to participate in various performances and competitions throughout the year. The students will also prepare for a medal examination for placement and certification with the ISTD.

Please help us welcome the newest member of the Top Hat staff. We are very excited to announce that Marshall Pitcairn will be joining the ranks at Top Hat. He will be available for Private Lessons in American Style Ballroom and Latin starting in July.
Marshall comes to Top Hat with 5 years of choreography, teaching, and performance in Ballroom and Latin dancing. Previous experience includes many years of college and community theatre, radio broadcasting, vocal and instrumental performance. Having started his career as a computer programmer, he is living proof that nerds can dance.

The studio will be closed July 4-6 in honor of the 4th of July holiday. Hustle group classes will be held on July 7th.
There will be no Adult Ballet on July 12th.
There will be no Hustle Classes on July 28th.
Basic Ballroom group classes begin new dances on July 11th. Basic Ballroom I (7:30-8:30) will be starting Rumba. Basic Ballroom II (8:30-9:30) will be continuing with East Coast Swing.
The class times for West Coast Swing group classes will be changing starting July 19th. West Coast Swing I will be 7:30-8:30 and West Coast Swing II will be 8:30-9:30. The practice session will remain 9:30-10:00.
There will not be a West Coast Swing Morph Party on July 28. All other Morph Parties will continue as normal: Ballroom & Latin Morph Party on July 14 and Hustle Morph Party on July 21. All Morph Parties include an all levels group class at 8:00pm with the party beginning at 9:00pm. The cost of each party is $10 per person and you are welcome to BYOB. If you have any questions, please contact the studio.

It's been a few years since Top Hat has attended this local Ballroom and Latin Dance Competition, but we're very excited to announce that we will be heading to Cherry Hill, New Jersey for this incredible 4 day event. If you are interested in competing or joining us as a part of the Top Hat cheering section please contact the studio.
Top Hat Dance Studio is traveling for the first time to East Brunswick, NJ to take place in the World Hustle Dance Championships. Hosted by Diane Nardone, this 4 day event includes competitions in Hustle, Salsa, and West Coast Swing. In addition to competitions there are workshops taught by world class instructors, a dinner show, and social dancing 'till all hours. If you are interested in participating in this event, please contact the studio.
